Well I finished edits on Rough Justice. YAY. Here is the blurb
It is not Roxanne Savage’s night…but it will be.

Five miles from home, in the middle of nowhere, she runs out of gas. Unable to reach her best friend, Jay Turpin, on his cell, she calls local sheriff—and current object of lust—Ivan Soto.

For six months Ivan and Roxie have been playing a game of cat and mouse. Coming to her rescue on a deserted country road, Ivan finally has Roxie right where he wants her—assuming the position up against her car, with her legs spread.

When Jay rushes to Roxie’s to make sure she’s made it home safely, he discovers her in the custody of Sheriff Soto, experiencing a little Rough Justice. Jay loves to see Roxie having a good time, but if Ivan wants to frisk her further, he’ll have to learn to share.

So my question for today--
Do you have any secret weapons for getting out a speeding ticket? Have you ever flirted to get out of a ticket? I was able to get out of a ticket, but not by flirting. I was about 8 months pregnant and as big as a house. I'd had a decaf latte. I told the cop that I couldn't wear my seal belt or I'd throw up. (which was true) I was only going a couple of blocks, and he kindly said, hope you feel better. I swear he only had sympathy because I barely fit behind the wheel. lol

My Question today -- what is your favorite time of year?

Monday, July 28, 2008

Good morning everyone, only a few days left for the Christmas in July event.

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

Today I'll be giving away a gift certificate to The Wild Rose Press.

this weekend I got stuck watching the Halmark channel. the Love Comes Softly saga was on and I found myself watching one after another and not getting much of anything else done. Confession two- I love the Little House on the Prairie series. And Anne of Green Gables. Oh hello- I'm sharing my dirty little secrets. lol

I balance it with a love for action/adventure. Like the Bourne Movies and X-Men Movies.

so for my question.
If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?

After Dark in the Ellora's Cave Jewels of the Nile Cavemen Anthology Vol II.

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner.)

After Dark has been by far the most challenging piece I've ever written. I can remember calling my critique partner, asking her to listen to me ramble, so that she could summarize what I said. Working on the DNA of breeding vampires was like doing long division in my head. (and math is not my thing) By the time I'd get one aspect figured out, it would create a whole other set of complications. For instance, if these vampires breed, what would happen when they feed? Part of the intrigue with a vampire is the changing of a human into vampire. In romance fiction we take liberties with werewolves, time travel, vampires, and such. I know I want to put my own spin on my paranormal. But at the same time if a writer deviates too far from the expected, they risk ruining the character. A vampire needs to bite and feed. A werewolf needs to shift-It's what we, as readers, love about werewolves.

After Dark is a nightclub, only it's also the vampires' feeding grounds. My vampire hero is Native American in this story.

Blurb: Kayla March has never reached orgasm...not even with a vibrator. However, she has the feeling that could all change when she meets Alandro Blackwood at the club After Dark.

Few vampires can breed. Alandro carries the unique recessive gene. His blood match, believed to have been killed by a vampire slayer, has been found. Unless her dormant vampire gene had already been awakened by a breeder, why would she go to After Dark, the feeding grounds? He'd soon find out.

Winner today will receive the Ellora's Cave 2008 playing card deck.

My question today -- What's the one thing you're most neurotic about? My list I'm sad to say, is endless. My husband is a good chap, because while I'm controlling just about everything in the house, he's happy to let me do it. I do understand that I have a problem letting go of certain things, and I'll ask him if he's okay with my decisions. He says he likes being married to me and so yep, it's all good. However, when someone asks him if he's read my books, his reply is also "no, because he likes being married to me." Then he'll look at me and say Sorry, baby, I don't read that stuff. Sheesh, if he only knew what he was missing. :)

Saturday, July 26, 2008

Winner's choice today. Pick anything from my backlist. Lisa or KyAnn (excluding the EC Cavemen. I need to find out if I can offer that as a prize since I'd be giving away 5 other author's stories)

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

The Perfect kisses

Butterfly Kiss - Brush your eyelashes against your lover.

Cheek Kiss - The perfect way to say I like you. With your hands on your partner's shoulders, gently brush your lips across her cheek.

Earlobe Kiss - Gently sip and suck the earlobe.

Eskimo Kiss - touching and rubbing noses

Melting hot Kiss - Kiss your partner with a small piece of ice melting on your tongue.

French Kiss - Mouth, lips and...tongue. mmmm.

Hickey Kiss - also know as the get your ass kicked kiss. lol

Lip Sucking Kiss - When kissing gently suck on your lover's lower lip.

Quickie Kiss - When you're in a rush. Often the nose gets it rather than the lips.

Good morning kiss - Gentle kiss your lover's face, until finally brushing his mouth with yours.

tomorrow we can chat about the best places to kiss ;)

Where is the sexiest place you've ever been kissed? When I used to live in Redondo Beach, I can remember long walks on the beach with my husband. The sound of the surf crashing into the spongy shore. Kisses where I could taste the salt and sea on his lips. the air was chilled just enough that his hands were warm on my arms. It was nice.

Now he gives me a peck on the way out the door. :)

Good Morning,

I've been sleeping in, but this morning it's time to get back on my schedule. Today I'm giving away Rogue's Challange by Jo Barrett.

Blurb: He made a vow to fetch the woman back through time. 'Twas a task not taken lightly. But he had not predicted her stubbornness or her beauty. The petite woman with the tenacity of a mule may just find a way into his roguish heart.

This book is at the top of my to-be-read pile. Once again I want to thank Jo for her contribution to my blog event. visit her at http://www.jobarrett.net/.

Also a congratulations to Kealie for my bonus website prize. Bella is sitting next to me now and Bentley is curled up on the couch.

Now I'm off to make coffee. I have appointments this morning, then do a bit of cleaning. Hopefully I'm going to write this afternoon. My life is pretty much a formula. I told my boys if they didn't give me today to clean, I'm taking two weeks of electronic priviledges. no TV or video games. well, you can guess how that went over. lol

so to everyone else with a challenge ahead of them today...good luck. I know all need it.

So for my question. Do you care if the sex between a h/h comes right away in a story or do you prefer a strong sexual tension and buildup? Or do you get frustrated when your thoughts turn to "Do it already?" because the author is dragging out the inevitable. I write erotic romance so you know you won't wait long in one of my stories. lol But I read a wide variety. I admit to getting a bit impatient.

Beaded book thong.

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

Good morning everyone,
sorry I'm late with my post. truthfully I have no idea what to blog about. lol. Last night I was listening to Matchbox 20 and working on Rough Justice. There is something totally sexy about Rob Thomas' voice. I think I could fall in love with a good voice. Love those smoky bedroom eyes and of course strong body.

but back to music. I also have to put on good sing along country to clean the house. And when I exercise I have to blast music and turn the turbo fan on high.

Do you use music to get you in the mood...for anything and have an new favorites I can check out?

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Cowboys, cowboys, cowboys.

I took my boys to the rodeo last night. we had an absolute blast. I remember when Pierce was about 4, (he's 8 now) he was standing on the bleachers next to me so he could see over the crowd. The music started, the gate was pulled and the largest white bull you'd ever seen came storming from the shoot. Pierce nearly falls over, grabs my hair, releases a gasp of surprise, and says "Look Mom! Rhinos!" well, everyone around us exploded with laughter. It was a good time.

Last night was just great fun at the end of the show they had the flying aces motorcycle daredevils. Last week Pierce wanted to drive in the demolition derby, this week it is bronc riding or one of the daredevils.

I on the other hand couldn't stop the buckle bunny and cowboy stories from flitting through my mind. But I need to stay focused on my WIP. well, multiple works in progress. lol

Anyway today I am giving away perfume.
Post a comment - who's hotter--a slim hipped, rugged, cowboy wearing jeans, boots and a Stetson or a business man in a suit with a briefcase?
Personally I like a hard working, rugged guy who can clean up nice. :) I suppose that's why I write romance. I want it all! :)

It's here!

With or Without You by KyAnn Waters coming to Samhain Publishing Sept. 23rd!

So what makes a book cover for you? Hot hero, scenerie, do you care? And do you ever buy a book based on the cover? How important is the cover? If a cover was aweful, would you skim past the book or would you still read the blurb to see if it's something you'd like to read? I admit, if the cover doesn't hook me I'm likely to keep browsing. I don't want to read every blurb. I want the cover to convey the tone and content of the story. I'm happy with all of my covers except Marion's Train. While I think the cover is lovely, it doesn't fit my dark haired, exotic, soiled dove from my book. Marion is a firecracker and the woman on my cover looks regal.

So winner today gets Hot Blooded and a bonus prize for going to my website www.KyAnnWaters.com and emailing me (don't post it here otherwise you give away the answer :)) at kyannwaters@hotmail.com and since we're talking about a picture telling a story. tell me the names of my dogs.

Oh Yum! Impulsive Pleasures by KyAnn Waters

(see yesterday's comments for yesterday's winner)

Blurb: Jamie's daughter is getting married and now Jamie has to endure a weekend with her ex-husband and his new wife, the home-wrecking trollop. Jamie can be nice…yeah right. The asshole doesn't deserve nice. However, Jamie's bitterness just might be sweetened when young and sexy best man Mark Bentley arrives for the rehearsal dinner. Oh Yum! He might prove to be just the distraction Jamie needs. And if the ex has a problem with it…good.

Only Mark isn't interested in a little flirtation with the mother of the bride. He'd like the cougar to scratch her nails down his back. Will she invite him into her bed…or will he have to fuck her on the floor?

I'm so excited. Last night I received edits for Rough Justice, coming soon to Ellora's Cave. I've also submitted a new story to my editor this week so keep your fingers crossed.

With or Without You is coming to Samhain Publishing Sept. 23. Edits are done and I'm just waiting for approval on my cover then I can post. It is absolutely beautiful and sexy as hell.

Today I'll work on edits then tonight spend some time with my WIP. It's raining in Utah. Good day for coffee and a good book.

Enjoy your week. I'm going to post excerpts of Impulsive Pleasures in the comments. They are explicit.

Today, tell me anything.

You are in for a treat if you win this story!

Last night I took my boys out to my mom's for their cousin's birthday party. Grandma has a pool making summers fun. So I'm sitting on a deck chair with my 8 year old. And grandpa asks him where his dad is. Pierce informs him his dad had to go to the cops. so my whole family gasps and says oh my god what happened. At this point I start to laugh. I happily say nothing is wrong. He's gone to a concert...the Police.

This is also the child who informed me that Jesus Christ was named after a swear word, yep I'm busted on that one. lol

Do you have any fun kid's say the funnest things stories?

Sacrificial Hearts by Skhye Moncrief

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

Blurb:
Alone, Twila Deeds tries to find her lost brother and stumbles upon a cult she believes is preparing to sacrifice her in a Valentines-Day sex ritual. She learns her brother has joined the cult and claims to be saving her by bringing her into the fold. She can't trust her brat brother, a selfish teen who never did anything for anyone. Nor dare she trust the cult's gorgeous member who arrives to escort her to the cult's Scottish castle on his motorcycle. She has no intention of falling victim to the sacrificial blade before her baby brother is served his just dessert. But Illusion manifests as free will. (1st Point of Time Travel)

Gerard Abercrombie can't seem to convince Twila that his time-travel brotherhood has only her welfare in mind before his patience wears thin. Time-travel Code will save him because only the fairies know what the future holds as the Gods send two SACRIFICIAL HEARTS racing toward their destiny.

Skhye is an amazing writer and good friend. She is also participating in the 31 Days of Christmas in July so don't forget to visit her blog.

And to see other amazing stories visit her at http://www.skhyemoncrief.com/

My question for you today -- is there any genre you won't read?

Friday, July 18, 2008

Yay, the weekend is here. My family thinks we don't have plans. I do. The dreaded basement. Toys, laundry, clutter and crap. it just needs cleaned. As I was thinking about my blog this morning and deciding what to write and give-away, I looked at the titles I have yet to showcase. My husband is Scottish and I started to chuckle when I thought how he'd feel about his Highlander's Challenge--the basement. So thanks again to Jo for donating to my 31 Days of Christmas in July.
Visit Jo at www.JoBarrett.net

Blurb:Amelia Tucker, or Tuck as she prefers to be called, latest personal bodyguard assignment turns into one she'll never forget, thanks to a crazed kidnapper, one enchanted fountain, and a sixteenth century Highland Warrior determined to keep her under lock and key. Who will win this battle of wills?

So is there a challenge in your weekend?

Crashed by Lisa Dawn MacDonald

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner.)

Last night I took my boys and my neice to the amusement park. We don't usually go at night but it was fun to go because all the rides have lights. Anyway I will be dragging butt today.

Today I'm going to give away a copy of Crashed by Lisa Dawn MacDonald.

Blurb: Mars is angry and Mercury is retrograde. However Venus has Jessie French's back. She's crashed into Andrew Jordan's car and now she's crashing into his life.

**Excerpt**

Whew! Thankfully, Reliable Red hadn’t sustained a fatal blow. The damage blended with the chipped paint and rusted dents she’d acquired over the years.
She turned, glanced at the other vehicle, and groaned. Oh, her insurance rates were bound to take a hit, no doubt about it. She’d placed a lovely dent in the bumper of a fine BMW. Said bumper was barely attached to one end of the car. The other end rested on the street. A bit more damage than a typical fender-bender, but, hopefully, easily repaired.
Oh, perfect. The man she’d hit already had the officer’s rapt attention.
Nervous perspiration dampened the band of her bra. Squinting against the early morning sun, she pushed her sunglasses up her nose. No way would a smile get her out of this one. It shouldn’t have to. The damn light was yellow!
So much for not being late for the first day on the job. And she’d almost made it, too. Only two blocks from the office building, and she had to be behind the only man who didn’t know to hit the gas, and not the brakes, on yellow.
The man pointed to the light, pointed to the cars, and finally pointed at her as she approached. Good grief, it was a simple little fender-bender. If he could afford a BMW, he should be able to afford a dent.
“Excuse me,” Jessie interrupted. Oh my, the man was tall. She’d never been considered petite, yet she had to crane her neck to look into his face. The breadth of his shoulders blotted out the sun. Sandy blond hair and green eyes to swim in. Jessie marveled at the intense impact his physical appearance had on her tummy. Her heart jumped from an apprehensive beat to a fluttering tempo. Perhaps she should have checked her relationship forecast instead of her financial.
Her gaze traveled from his broad shoulders, stiff with tension, down the muscular chest that tapered to a trim waist. She swallowed hard. Thick thighs were encased in black Dockers. Those heart flutters drifted lower and morphed into a sexual twitch between her legs. She licked her upper lip. Nice package. She didn’t know what he did to afford a BMW, but the man wore working casual like a male model.

5 Hearts from the Romance Studio

"This is a great short story; it is a well-written, fast paced, fun story that really works. Jessie and Andrew are both fun, interesting characters, that the reader will thoroughly enjoy meeting. Ms. MacDonald has written a definite keeper."

Question today--

If you read a book that overall was pretty good, but a few aspects bothered you, does it ruin the story for you?

For example, recently I read a story where the hero is hot, loves the heroine, they overcame obstacles, but he did one of my pet peeves, he said things that he couldn't take back. Such as accused her of infidelity yet he took her virginity.

Duty Bound by Jo Barrett

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

It's early in the morning, the kids are sleeping and I'm blogging before I go workout with the neighbor. It's peaceful. I've got my coffee, the glow of the computer in the darkened room. And it just feels like the start of a great day.

Hope your day will be a good one. Have anything fun planned?

Today I'm giving away Duty Bound by Jo Barrett.

Blurb: Duty bound to protect and serve, Deputy Sheriff Michael McAllister is faced with the decision of whether or not he should turn Danielle Porter over to the authorities, or take her in his arms and never let go. His past taught him well the importance of abiding by the law, but when damning evidence points unfailingly to Danny, he isn’t so sure he can imprison the one woman who holds his heart.

Visit Jo at http://www.jobarrrett.net/. She has an amazing collection of published works and I can't thank her enough for contributing titles to my Christmas in July event. I know everyone participating would rather have books. =)

Wrong Number, Right Man give-a-way today.

(check yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

I lost my cell phone last month. It's been hell. phone numbers gone, convenience gone. But I hate Sprint. so when my service is up in Sept I'm going to be shopping for a new plan. However, I needed a replacement phone till then. since Sprint's phones are so expensive, I went to the local dealer and bought a used one to get me through. UGH! no caller ID, the damn thing won't hold a charge, can't hear on it. it's broken my cell phone habit that's for sure. Any way that's my misery this week so I suppose I don't have anything to truly bitch about. =)
So today I'm giving away Darah Lace's Wrong Number, Right Man.

I absolutely LOOOOve this book. Hopefully Darah will stop by today and say hello.

Blurb: After too much wine, Lori Duncan calls her ex and initiates phone sex to prove him wrong--she's not boring and predictable. Jack Hartwell answers his roommate's phone and goes along with his sexy next door neighbor's game until he realizes her fantasy includes him and not his roommate. Was her slip of tongue intentional or just part of the game?
***
excerpt:
"Are you alone?"
The soft whisper rasped through the cell phone, but Jack Hartwell recognized his best friend's voice and figured what Lori really wanted to know was whether his roommate had left yet. "It's just me."
"What are you doing?"
Her hushed tone triggered his guilt. Adam had dumped her the week before, and she'd been hiding in her apartment next door, dodging Jack's attempts to check on her. He'd been the one to set them up and soon realized his mistake. He hated that she'd been hurt, but he was glad they'd broken up and was biding his time until she healed before he made his own move.
Hoping that time had come, he settled into the black leather recliner she helped him pick out almost a year ago and muted the volume on the television. "Watching the game."
"What are you wearing?"
***
Hopefully, Darah will come by and give us a longer tease.
***
So for my questions today
do you love a little phone tease and if you do . . .
what cell phone provider do you use and do you like them? (lol I'm shopping)
or better, is there a provider I should avoid?

The Pendulum [The Legacy Of The Celtic Brooch 1]

(see yesterday's post for yesterday's winner)

Today's winner will recieve Tarah Scott's The Pendulum.

Blurb: Can a woman bring an earl to justice for the murder of her sister?Lady Airin Keith will not rest until Lord Jason Bothwell is tried and convicted for the murder of his young wife. An unexpected marriage proposal brings an opportunity to prove Bothwell's guilt, but the knight who appears with her great grandmother's lost brooch threatens to interfere with Airin's brand of justice when he demands the agreed payment of marriage. A classic tale of murder, deceit and fraud that can be exposed only once the pendulum stops.
Excerpt:
She backed up a step. "W-what are you doing here?"
He stopped before her.
"Do you not have business elsewhere?" She winced at the squeak in her voice.
"Aye," he replied distractedly.
"What sort of business?"
Deryll reached behind her and lifted her braid over her shoulder. "The kind that does not concern you."
"What sort of business does not concern me? Sir Gewain is--"
Deryll's head snapped up. "Nothing I cannot handle," he finished.
The heat in her cheeks spread through her belly as, his gaze glued to hers, he lifted the end of her braid to his nose and breathed deeply. Airin's heart pounded against her chest. Hands, calloused and brown from years in the sun, held the braid as if it were a fragile flower. He breathed deeply again, as though to inhale her very essence.
"Is there any battle you can not handle?" she asked.
Deryll shifted his gaze to her face. "I am a man, Airin. No man is invincible."
Her girlhood hero was invincible. The hero who always saved his lady from all harm, who knew when to bestow a kiss, and never pressed her into an uncomfortable situation. This man was anything but those things.
Deryll's gaze dropped to her mouth. Would he kiss her?
* * *
Tarah writes medieval Scottish historicals. My favorite to read. Do you have a favorite period in history that consitantly draws you in?

Hot Blooded by KyAnn Waters $1.50
To purchase

(see yesterday's comments for yesterday's winner)

It's going to be Hot in Utah today and I thought I'd share a bit about my newest release with The Wilder Roses.

Blurb: It’s hot as hell in Southern California, and Kelis LeBrun is having a bitch of a time keeping his focus and his fangs off the delicious looking Ms. Loni Soleil. Perhaps if it weren’t so bloody hot, he’d be able to stave off the hunger pangs. But the only way to do that is hot, sweaty sex…something he’d swore he’d never have with Loni. He couldn’t let her know he was a 300 year old vampire.
However, when they become trapped on an elevator during a rolling blackout Kelis discovers Loni has a few secrets of her own.

Reviews:
5 Blue Ribbons - The Romance Junkies
"KyAnn Waters never fails to thrill me with her storylines and the warmhearted way she presents each and every hero and heroine she brings to life through her writing."

4.5 Cherries Whipped Cream Reviews
"The one thing I look for in a vampire romance is a good bite scene and Kyann Waters knows how to deliver the goods. "Hot Blooded" is sensual, seductive and contains a surprise at the end that simply made me smile in delight.... I believe Ms. Waters to be a master--or is that a mistress?--story teller. In "Hot Blooded", she has taken the stereotypical vampire romance and turned it on its ear, presenting readers with a fresh and novel ending sure to please and amaze.Ms. Waters knows the proper way to write a vampire bite for full sexual impact, how to save a tortured hero and how to give a reader a refreshing, exciting and unique HEA. It’s all wrapped up in a short story aimed at the best of what vampire romances are known for -- a happily ever after you can sink your teeth into.

Today's winner will receive a table top cardboard cutout of Will Turner!

I also have a free read - Twisted Sex and Happenstance - available at The Wilder Roses. To Download

Sam finally has the opportunity to put her degree to use and she's determined to do the job. However…

Mitch Carter, the fire boss, doesn't believe the wisp of a woman, who hasn't seen action anywhere but the supply depot, can do the job. Hell, her equipment pack weighs more than she does. He'd give her one chance before sending her back to Missoula. She's more likely to be a distraction. It would be best for him and his teams to have her out of his little house that serves as headquarters for the
remote camp of forest firefighters. Shouldn't take more than a couple days.
Mitch knows how to fight fires, but can he control the intense flames of desire Samantha incites before they become out-of-control Wild Fires?
Let's Party! Tell me a must have characteristic for a hot hero.

Congratulations to Eva S for winning Game On by Liza James. Please email me at KyAnnWaters@hotmail.com.

Thank you to everyone for continuing to play in my 31 days of Christmas in July blog event.

It's going to be another scorcher here in Utah again today. Yesterday at the waterpark I got a little too much sun, so today I'm staying in the house with the AC on and relaxing. hopefully I'll get a little writing done. Perhaps tonight with dh, I'll sit on the porch and sip a mojito.

El Draque, otherwise known as the Mojito.

Francis Drake and his horde of swashbuckling, pirates have been credited with creating the perfect cure for summertime heat. They’d tried to sack Havana and instead mixed my favorite drink.

How to mix the perfect Mojito according to Dallas, the vampire bartender from After Dark. The story is available in Ellora’s Cavemen Jewels of the Nile Volume II. http://www.ellorascave.com/.
First, you’ll need a tall, thin glass. I prefer mine frosted. With a mortar and pestle, crush sprigs of mint with sugar and lemon juice. Next drizzle the mixture into the glass and filled the glass with ice. Next you’ll need rum, I prefer Bacardi. If you’re talented, toss it into the air and catch it upside down over the ice. Top off the amber liquid with club soda. Finally, add a slice of lemon and another sprig of mint.
Enjoy.
Today I'll be giving away a deck of the Ellora's Cave covers carddeck.

Just tell me your favorite drink?
(I enjoy a mojito, but I love my Diet Pepsi)

After Dark is available now in the Ellora's Cavemen Vol II.
Kayla March has never reached orgasm...not even with a vibrator.

Good Morning everyone.

It's Monday and after the long holiday weekend I'm dragging my butt to get going. I started a new story last night. I shut down the computer and headed to bed, but couldn't sleep. So I got back up and started writing again. Now I'm tired, but oh the lack of sleep is worth it. so this morning I'm going to take you through a simple meditation to help you balance for the upcoming week.

A simple Chakra meditation.

Sit or lie on your back. Start at your crown chakra, the top of your head. Imagine the pressure and stress of your day washing away.

Surround yourself with white light.

Draw your focus lower, to the third eye charka centered over the forehead. Once open will bring awareness to time, light and intuition.

Swallow. Relax the muscles in your face. Focus calming energy to the throat chakra, the center for communication.

Take a deep breath. Exhale. Allow your arms to hang limp at your sides. Focus on your chest, the heart chakra. Love, balance and harmony.

Spiritual and physical energy is centered in the solar plexus chakra. Deep breath. Slowly exhale. Release tension.

Imagine white light surrounding you. Focus your thoughts on the sacral chakra, the heart of your sexuality. Imagine calm, soothing warmth.

Finally, allow all tension to leave your body through the root charka. Strengthen your spiritual power, yet ground yourself so that you can focus and achieve your goals. Allow your body to become heavy, relaxed, open to the flow of energy through the chakras.

Deep inhale. Exhale.

In Delicious Darkness, Audra uses meditation and the power of the chakras to battle the bounty hunters. Can she save a fugitive from a dark dimension with her white light? Delicious Darkness by KyAnn Waters. Available at http://www.thewilderroses.com/

What do you like to do to relax?

This past week I did a week long promotion. I had to write short essays. So I am going to repost here on my blog.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…
And it will probably be your money. Now I’m not the best person to ask for advice regarding battle in the casino pits. I had a lucky turn on the roulette wheel once, then lost it twenty minutes later at the blackjack table. Blame it on the greyhounds, and I’m not talking about the dog races. (For those who aren’t familiar, a greyhound is vodka and grapefruit juice.)
But here are the tidbits of advice I’ve received for gaming hell.

Blackjack- Never play dealer rules, and always hit on a twelve.
Now in craps, the advice was to pass or don’t pass and come or don’t come. But
I don’t play craps…and in my erotic world a woman…err…player should always come!
Should we talk slots? My advice, these are a good option after your third greyhound.
Video poker, the upside to this game is that you don’t risk losing your clothes, just your money.

In the Cougar Meets Her Master, available at http://www.thewilderroses.com/, Colt challenges Taylor. A night of sex decided on the turn of a card. Taylor knows one thing, the house always wins…or does it?
Do you gamble or play poker for Cherrios?
Winner today will receive a PDF of The Cougar Meets Her Master

Good Morning,

Thank you to those who shared part of their holiday with me by stopping by my blog. Everyone who posted yesterday is a winner! I'll put the list up in a bit on what everyone will receive. I need everyone who posted yesterday to email me at KyAnnWaters@hotmail.com. I usually go find the email addy of the winner, but with so many, it would be a great favor to me if you would email me. thanks

Last night we had a blast at the demolition derby. I think my 8 year old sees a future career. lol. I've suspect my 10 year old is military bound. Although I'm sure at this age all little boys love GI Joe.

I've always loved to write. Started my first romance novel when I was in my early twenties, but didn't decide to attempt to become a publisher author until Jan of 2006. From there it's been a wild ride.

I signed an agent in April 2006 and my first contract for an e-publisher about the same time. I recently parted ways with my agent, but I have contracted/released stories with e-publishers. So yes, I am happy with my chosen career.

Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up?

Today's winner will receive Eternal Rapture.
(if you don't read erotic romance, I have a substitution for you)

Long ago on the shore of the Sea of the Arabah five brothers were born... all immortal. To defend their destiny they must protect their eternal love.

Selene Farrell wasn't herself...or was she? Since arriving at Anthony Mager's remote castle to appraise ancient emeralds she's been thrown back and forth in an erotic history lesson. In each memory the man of the castle, kissed, inflamed... bloody well fucked the life out of her. Her drenched panties couldn't take another orgasm-real or imagined.
However, she's also remembered her death. How is that possible? And will discovering the truth once again put her life in danger?

Friday, July 04, 2008

Congratulations to Jane for winning yesterday. Jane, I don't know how to get a hold of you. Please email me at Kyannwaters@hotmail.com so I can send you your PDF.

Happy 4th of July.

Today I just wanted to say how thankful I am to have my health, my family, a home to love them in, and the means to provide for them. I have a wonderful husband and we'll celebrate 15 years married. He's supportive of my dreams...even when writing takes time away from him and the kids.

We're spending some of today home watching movies like Transformers, Independance Day, and X-Men. Tonight it's the demolition derby and fireworks.

For those in the states, have a great and safe holiday. For others, have a great start to the weekend.

Today, tell me if you have any fun plans for the holiday or the weekend in general. Today's prize is a signed print copy of Marion's Train.

I can promise you laughs, I can promise you tears, and I can promise that you will not be bored when you read this delightful novel! Ms. MacDonald has done an incredible job of writing a near-perfect story and she has won a place on my (and many others, I would imagine) keeper shelf! ....
Marion's Train is a wonderfully written tale that brings on laughter, and entertainment. It is a genuine story, with great believability, that surrounds a huge range of characters.

Marion's Train
Blurb: Life in 1880 Montana is ripe with opportunity for a gal who works on her back. And Marion Young likes her job, so when handsome, yet reserved Joseph Spenser, nicknamed Train, spends his savings to buy her services for one week, she's surprised when he doesn't want to climb aboard.Train isn't interested in being one of Marion's many patrons. He intends to convince her to marry him. Since he's wagered his money, why not bet it all? If he can withstand her charms, she'll marry him in one week giving up her profession. But if Marion is victorious, Train must give up talk about their future and give her a wild ride on his impressive locomotive.
(for those who don't know, this is the name I write under for my traditional romance =) )

Congratulation to Rhonda for winning yesterday.
The first of June and we were still getting snow in Utah. well, that's over. today it's going to be 101 and tomorrow 103. My yard is suffering. At the first of the season, my excuse had been, it's too cold, I'll get to it when it warms up. then I missed the "warmed up" time and now my excuse is it's too hot. my dh wants to strangle me. he's threatening to rip out my flowerbeds and put down rocks.

the truth is, I hate yardwork. if there is an excuse I can use to put it off for another day, oh yeah, I'll use it. I didn't clean out the flowerbeds last fall, and I haven't cleaned them out this spring. it'll be fall and if I'm lucky we'll get early snow and I won't have to clean them out then either.

Maybe i should just concede to my husband and get the rocks.
ere anything you procrastinate doing to the point it doesn't get done?

Today the prize is When A Rose Blooms by Tarah Scott. (because at my house, if a rose blooms, it's lucky the overgrowing weeds didn't kill it =)) My thanks and appreciation to Tarah for participating on my blog event and also being part of the Christmas in July event. You can check out Tarah at http://tarahscott.com/

When A Rose Blooms by Tarah Scott
Blurb: On the fifth year anniversary of Margaret Moncreiffe's death, her husband Nathaniel kneels at her grave, asking the questions he fears were answered the night she died of a mysterious fever. As the evening progresses, however, a flesh and blood woman enters the battlefield he has created around his heart, forcing him to choose between life among the living, or life with nothing but memories of the dead.
