Wild Fires released today!!

Blurb:Sam Knight works behind a desk for the Forest Service, but dreams of digging trenches and battling the flames of a raging wildfire. The Montana forest is withering under the relentless summer sun, and reinforcements are needed in the field. Sam finally has the opportunity to put her degree to use and she's determined to do the job. However…

Mitch Carter, the fire boss, doesn't believe the wisp of a woman, who hasn't seen action anywhere but the supply depot, can do the job. Hell, her equipment pack weighs more than she does. He'd give her one chance before sending her back to Missoula. She's more likely to be a distraction. It would be best for him and his teams to have her out of his little house that serves as headquarters for the
remote camp of forest firefighters. Shouldn't take more than a couple days.
Mitch knows how to fight fires, but can he control the intense flames of desire Samantha incites before they become out-of-control Wild Fires?
Let's Party! Tell me a must have characteristic for a hot hero.

My heroes must haves is that he has to be mysterious, dangerous, and ruthless, but, for the woman he loves, he is tender, gentle, protective.

Excerpt: Wild Fires

"Samantha."

She refocused on him. "I wish you'd call me Sam if you insist on using my first name."

"Samantha, if I have to avoid looking at your beautiful face—" He reached out and gently drew his finger along a dirt smudge on her cheek.

"Don't."

"Stop admiring your stunning figure—" His eyes followed his hand as he dropped from her neck, ran his thumb over her collarbone. She sucked in sharply. He grazed the side of her breast, then rested his palm in the curve of her waist. He could feel her heart beating with each stroke of his fingers as they splayed across her abdomen. His fingertips floated above her navel. "If I can't look at you as a woman—" His hand slipped around her back and urged her closer. She stumbled and then pressed flush against him.

"We have to remain completely professional," she said, breathless. "You're compromising both of us."

He kissed her forehead, his lips a gentle caress. "Samantha," he whispered a breath away from her skin.

"You can't keep calling me Samantha."

His tongue tasted the salty drops off her temples. She closed her eyes. Her body softened and he maneuvered her hips to fit snuggly against his. His arousal nestled between them.

"I'll be damned if I'll call you by a man's name." Lips crushed lips.

A little moan escaped from the back of her throat. "Mitch, please." She arched into him.

His tongue slipped into her mouth when she spoke, a soft wet treasure waiting for discovery. He pulled back and he whispered, "Tomorrow you can be a man."

"I don't want to be a man. Just an equal."

I've always thought a good sense of humour is necessary in a hero. You can't beat a man who can smile at irony when things get tough

Oh my, that's steamy!

My heros...I like them to be strong men, very sure of themselves and a little on the dangerous side.

Self-confidence - that is the sexiest thing to me, then again I like the shy guys too. So hmmm....yeah let's go with self-confidence - not cocky - just confident.

So very good characteristics of a good hero. For me it's very much the same. A strong, yet tender hero, selfconfident, humorous. He has to have something dangerous with him, not the boy next door type of guy.

I like my heroes to be tall, dark and a little dangerous...

Great excerpt!
I want a hero to be strong, loving and truthful.

I have to agree with what kimmyl said. There has to be tenderness and love on the inside but have strength and drive on the outside. To me its totally romantic to think that the georgous hunk who looks tough as nails has tenderness and love that he shows only for his special woman. Sigh.

A hot hero has to be confident in his own masculinity. That is so sexy!
