Well I finished edits on Rough Justice. YAY. Here is the blurb
It is not Roxanne Savage’s night…but it will be.

Five miles from home, in the middle of nowhere, she runs out of gas. Unable to reach her best friend, Jay Turpin, on his cell, she calls local sheriff—and current object of lust—Ivan Soto.

For six months Ivan and Roxie have been playing a game of cat and mouse. Coming to her rescue on a deserted country road, Ivan finally has Roxie right where he wants her—assuming the position up against her car, with her legs spread.

When Jay rushes to Roxie’s to make sure she’s made it home safely, he discovers her in the custody of Sheriff Soto, experiencing a little Rough Justice. Jay loves to see Roxie having a good time, but if Ivan wants to frisk her further, he’ll have to learn to share.

So my question for today--
Do you have any secret weapons for getting out a speeding ticket? Have you ever flirted to get out of a ticket? I was able to get out of a ticket, but not by flirting. I was about 8 months pregnant and as big as a house. I'd had a decaf latte. I told the cop that I couldn't wear my seal belt or I'd throw up. (which was true) I was only going a couple of blocks, and he kindly said, hope you feel better. I swear he only had sympathy because I barely fit behind the wheel. lol

Yes, I have flirted to get out of a ticket, and its worked until one morning I was coming home from a friends house when I was about 17, it was about 7am and the speed limit was 25mph- I was drifting down the street, my foot wasn't even on the gas and I was going about 30mph, well I got pulled over. Unfortunately it was a woman and she must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed because even when I told her my house was one street over and I was drifting, she STILL gave me a $75 ticket! It just wasn't my day!! I guess it was payback for the times I got out of it!!!!

Blurb sounds great, Kyann!!

I have NEVER gotten out of a ticket--I wonder what that says about my guilt or my flirting skills! ;p Alas!

I've only received tickets when my car was parked on the wrong side of the street. Snow and all that...so I didn't see a cop to flirt with. lol!

Dog Days sounds fun. Enjoyed your blurb!

I've been stopped for speeding about three times but I've never been given a ticket, even though I didn't actually flirt. I have cried before though and pretty much gotten anything, men can't stand to see a woman cry. LOL

Oh well, I don't drive so no need to get out of tickets. I won't wear a seatbelt when I'm in a car though. They just aren't designed for people of my dimensions. The belt always manages to go right across my neck and strangles me.

So far I have not ever received a ticket. Now watch it I probably jinxed myself and will get pulled over sometime this week. :-)

Will you throw things at me if I say that in my 35 years of driving, I've never gotten a ticket? Only been pulled over once for a broken headlight, but the officer never even got his book out, so no flirting required.

First, I'll say thank you for the anniv wishes, KyAnn.

The only reason I haven't bumped him off yet (the operative word here is YET) (just kidding) is because there's not enough life insurance to make it worthwhile.!!!

Really, just kidding. Since we have put up with each other's foibles this long, neither one of us want to start over with someone else -- of course, if I meet a good-looking RICH HUNK I just might change my mind.

I have only received one speeding ticket - in May 1994 - went out of state to my son's wedding and driving home had to detour because of a pile up on the interstate -- so, to make up lost time I stomped on the gas pedal (it was late and had to go to work the next day).

Fine was $130.00 - good thing state trooper didn't catch me about 10 minutes sooner - I was going 15 miles per hour faster - and since price of ticket depended on your rate of speed I would have paid even more.

I don't drive. I live in the city and take mass transit.

Well, if looking exhausted from working in a 100 degree + kitchen on a hideously hot & humid 4th of July all day is a method for getting out of a ticket I guess that was my "way". I guess he felt sorry for a poor college student working through the summer and looking like I was melting.

My husband is retired from the state police and I have stuff from them all over the car. So I thought I would use that but my kids spoke up first.

I've been stopped a few times, but never actually got a ticket. I do remember once that I got stopped coming back from picking up some parts for my hubby for some piece of equipment that he needed to fix right away (we lived on a farm). Well, I was in the middle of fixing supper and had to just turn everything off and leave right away. Plus I had 3 kids who were arguing, screaming, complaining, etc. They were tired and hungry. I started crying and telling the officer the whole story. He couldn't let me go fast enough. LOL Told me to be very careful and have a nice evening. :)

I have only been warned twice about not making complete stops when I first began driving. No tickets! Thanks, Cindi

KyAnn, this contest sounds fun for The Dog Days of Summer! Can you believe just one month left of the summer but too one day left here for the Christmas in July!?

Mmmm, Rough Justice does sound good! I shall be watching for it!

I was pulled over once and I went through a yellow light, and the police who I could not hear that I started to sign to (even though I could lip read him) kept saying 'You went through a red light, say you went through a red light" after a while I was crying and then said "I went through a red light" and he let me go, can you believe it! I was never pulled over. I don't know what it was maybe admitting that I did after time (not initially) would help? I've never been pulled over since!

I haven't got out of a speeding ticket. I did get a speeding ticket two years in a row on the same street. ( Oh..To be young again :D )

Hugs, Danette

I've never gotten a ticket in my life but if I did, I wouldn't be above flirting I guess. But hopefully it would be a police officer I know and I wouldn't have to do anything but promise to be more careful.
