Good Morning everyone.

It's Monday and after the long holiday weekend I'm dragging my butt to get going. I started a new story last night. I shut down the computer and headed to bed, but couldn't sleep. So I got back up and started writing again. Now I'm tired, but oh the lack of sleep is worth it. so this morning I'm going to take you through a simple meditation to help you balance for the upcoming week.

A simple Chakra meditation.

Sit or lie on your back. Start at your crown chakra, the top of your head. Imagine the pressure and stress of your day washing away.

Surround yourself with white light.

Draw your focus lower, to the third eye charka centered over the forehead. Once open will bring awareness to time, light and intuition.

Swallow. Relax the muscles in your face. Focus calming energy to the throat chakra, the center for communication.

Take a deep breath. Exhale. Allow your arms to hang limp at your sides. Focus on your chest, the heart chakra. Love, balance and harmony.

Spiritual and physical energy is centered in the solar plexus chakra. Deep breath. Slowly exhale. Release tension.

Imagine white light surrounding you. Focus your thoughts on the sacral chakra, the heart of your sexuality. Imagine calm, soothing warmth.

Finally, allow all tension to leave your body through the root charka. Strengthen your spiritual power, yet ground yourself so that you can focus and achieve your goals. Allow your body to become heavy, relaxed, open to the flow of energy through the chakras.

Deep inhale. Exhale.

In Delicious Darkness, Audra uses meditation and the power of the chakras to battle the bounty hunters. Can she save a fugitive from a dark dimension with her white light? Delicious Darkness by KyAnn Waters. Available at http://www.thewilderroses.com/

Thanks for the relaxation technique! I didn't sleep well, either. I read a light book to relax. Something fun and positive! I can identify with the heroine in the book today. I have a birthmark on the left side of my face and there are many times, when I just wanted to hide! Thanks, Cindi

Hi KyAnn! I had a bad night, my neck and shoulders are killing me this morning (pulled a muscle). I love to relax in a hot bubble bath, which is what I plan to do later tonight. ;-) In fact, on my Donna Marie Rogers site, I have my little lady reading a book in a bubble bath, and the bubbles even pop...LOL

Thanks for the meditation. I'll try that one when I start to feel stressed. A nice bubble bath, a glass of white wine and some music, that's what I try when I really want to relax.

Thanks...can you all the relaxation techniques I can get! The best thing for me to relax is a nice blanket and a good book...and finding a sunny spot to enjoy them in.

My favorite relaxation technique is a long soak in the bath with a book. That's about the only thing that works for me.

Hi there. I like to read to relax and also to write poetry. The poetry is sometimes the prelude to relaxation; if something's upsetting me, I'll write a poem about it (or just jot something down in my journal) and set it aside so I can relax, nap, bathe or whatever.

Hey, it has been awhile since I've done yoga or tai chi but it would be good to get back in to it. Loved the blurb today it sounds like a really good romance book to read.

Hi KyAnn, I learned this from you on LASR and I'm glad you posted it again with a little more information. I'm going to use this to relax because it's a lot more effective than what I had been doing. Thanks

Thanks for the relaxation tips.

I threw my back out - seems to becoming a regular event, ever since I fell at a job I had a number of years ago.

Unfortunately, it occurs more frequently now.

I like to soak in the tub with a book - I find it impossible to fall asleep unless I read for about 1/2 hour first.

Our youngest granddaughter was born with the lower half of her left arm missing. She is now 7 and it is truly amazing what she does one-handed.

People can be very cruel and rude to someone that is a little different - for about 2 years she had a real problem with several people, unfortunately, not just children - really, adults should know better.

There's a saying "There but for the grace of God, go I." But no one thinks of that.

Have a great evening everyone.

thank you all for the wonderful comments. A bath is a great way to loosen all those tight muscles.

and I love a book, a quiet house, and a diet Pepsi in a can. =)
